4 days in London – Big Ben, National Gallery, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus (4th day)
Our last day was busier than the days before because we should have been at the airport at 4 pm. So we had a short day ahead of us and a lot of sights. We woke up in the early morning to have enough time to visit everything that we planned for this day.
We could enjoy the London rails and underground again as a start of the day. Then we walked through the Jubilee Park and saw the famous London Eye. From the London Eye we continued walking on the bank of the Thames to the Westminster Bridge. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view to the Big Ben and to the Palace of Westminster that is the iconic home of the British Parliament.
We went by underground to the Trafalgar Square with the Nelson’s Column and the beautiful fountains. Then we went inside the National Gallery where we saw a lot of famous and beautiful paintings.
From the National Gallery we walked through the streets of central London, meanwhile we saw the Downing street 10, the Royal horse guards and we crossed the St. James’s Park till the Buckingham Palace. We saw the changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
After Buckingham Palace we had a short time so we visited the Piccadilly Circus and saw the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain. We walked through Chinatown before we headed back to the airport.
