A short vacation in Slovenia, Ljubljana (3rd day)

In the morning of our last day we had to check out till 10 am. We planned our way back home through Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Thus the way was a bit longer but it was worth to keep a break in Ljubljana. The weather wasn’t the best because it was very cloudy and rainy.

But despite the bad weather we could look around a bit in the old downtown. We walked along the river bank of the Ljubljanica river from the Triple Bridge (Tromostovje), the Butchers' Bridge (Mesarski most), to the famous Dragon Bridge (Zmajski most). We took a short coffee break at the central Market meanwhile we walked from one bridge to the other. Than we visited the castle of Ljubljana alias Ljubljanski grad which sits atop Castle Hill at hight of 366 meters. If you want a small extra experience you can go up to the castle with the glass funicular of the Ljubljana Castle.
