A short weekend among the mountains of Austria - rafting on the river Salza (the 2nd day)
Let's talk about the second day. The weather was still cold but sunny. Actually, it was so much better than yesterday. So we decided to rafting on the river Salza. Let me show you some morning pictures:
We got a professional instructor for our water adventure from AOS Rafting.at. The rafting was’nt dangerous, but it was very exicting with a lot of smaller and bigger rapids. We had two short breaks during the rafting. At the first stop we could jump in the cold water from a 5 meter tall metal stand. At the second stop we jumped from a cliff with a height of 7 meters.
What happened after the rafting? Well, we found a very good small restaurant, which wasn't a typical Austrian restaruant but more like an American. They had a perfect hamburger. I know it isn’t an Austrian meal, but it was sooo delicious. Check the photo below.
After the rafting we were a little bit tired, but we didn't want to go back to our hostel yet. So we took time to look around the area. We found the lake Leopoldsteiner which was very nice and quiet. It located in the middle of a forest.
