An active weekend in Cesky Krumlov, Czech (the 1st day)
I planned with 3 friends of mine an active weekend at a beautiful place in Czech Republic. We visited one of the most popular tourist destinations of Czech Republic: bike tour around Cesky Krumlov.
We arrived to Cesky Krumlov by car in the afternoon on a sunny Friday in September. We took our own bikes with us, so we didn’t need to hire any. But if you don’t have your own bike, you can find a lot of places in the city to rent one.
We rented an apartment where we didn’t get any breakfast or dinner to our room. But it wasn't a problem, because at least we could tried small local restaurants to have breakfast.
There are fantastic places for breakfast in the city, not to mention the restaurants, which we tested right away on the day of our arrival.
On the first evening we looked around in the historical downtown. We went for a walk along of the river Moldva, which cross the city. We had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant of the famous brewery Eggenberg’s.
Our adventure started on Saturday morning. We planned a 90 km long bike tour for this day. We started at 9:30 am in the morning. We wanted to go around the lake Lipno by bike. But the way was a bit adventurous, across forests, mountains and valleys. We arrived back to our apartment at 6 pm. It was very exhausting, but very nice at the same time. The experience was worth the suffering. Let’s see some pictures that I took on the way.
The castle of Cesky Krumlov is the 2nd biggest castle of the Czech Republic.
