Last morning we had time to visit the richest region of Lima, the ocean coast and Miraflores. We planned just an easy sightseeing but instead of I got an unexpected final experience from Peru.
Next day in the early morning – could you guess? lol – we left our hotel to see the culmination of our journey – the Rainbow Mountain alias Vinicunca or Winikunka. We went by bus shuttle from Cusco with its 3500 meters to the mountain up to 4700 meters.
The next day was one of the best of our journey and the last day of our 4-days adventure. We visited the Machu Picchu, the Old Mountain. The weather was not so friendly this day, it was rainy, a bit foggy and cold.
Next morning we got a very new experience - again. Zipline over the river Urubamba. 4 sections in different length: 300 – 700 meters. After the zipline we had a dinner and then we had a 10 km walking next to the rails of the perutrain to Machu Picchu.
The Jungle hiking trail - 27 km walk on the inca trail or inca camino. We started at 7am in the morning. The first part of the trail was flat but after that we had to climb the mountains. The wheather was hot, but our guide suggested is better to wear a long sleve shirt and throusers because of the mosquitos.
Next morning started our real adventure - 4 days full of experiences. Downhill from Abra Malaga with 4300 meters to aproximately 2000 meters on a winding road, a 40-50 km long serpentin. And later rafting on the river Urubamba.
Next morning we looked aronund in the city center in Cusco else and in the afternoon we had an organized tour to Sacred Valley. We visited the Marasal and we took part to a quad tour.
